metal seal

Pictured is a Gemco Valve manufactured to replace a Gemco Valve from 1980. After 35 years of service the user decided it was finally time to replace the engineered valve. Following a review of service history and updated process conditions it was decided to upgrade the original Teflon seal to a metal seal with wear resistant Tungsten Carbide in a Cobalt binder. The valve also features Nitrogen purged shaft seals and out board eccentric bushing for precise adjustment of the seat/disc clearance. The valve shipped to Texas for flow control of fine Nickel powder.
